Hi! My name is Krystal Rodney. I was born in New York City, and lived there for 17 years. In 2004, I graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School, in Brooklyn, NY.

In May 2008, I graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. I am currently at the College of William and Mary, completing a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education. After I graduate, I plan to teach in the upper elementary grades. I am currently completing my student teaching experience in 3rd grade at Norge Elementary School, and in 6th grade at Berkeley Middle School. Both are located in Williamsburg, VA. In both schools, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with students that have diverse learning styles and backgrounds, and I have enjoyed every moment. I knew that I wanted to be a teacher since the 5th grade, and am very excited to start my career. Regardless of where and what level I teach, I am very excited to know that I can make a difference in any child's life. My desire is to help my students exceed the standards that have been set for them.

This portfolio serves as a way for me to demonstrate my skills, abilities, and growth as an Elementary teacher.
